Tony is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative and serves as a Director of Alliance Wealth Strategies (AWS), a Registered Investment Advisory firmed owned by Brown Edwards. In addition, he is a Tax Partner of Brown Edwards and has over 20 years of experience in tax, financial and retirement planning. Tony holds the credentials of Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Tony’s areas of expertise includes business succession and structure planning; business entity retirement plans; wealth management, wealth transfer planning, and multigenerational wealth strategies.
Tony is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Master of Accountancy degree, including a concentration in taxation. He is also a graduate of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a business administration minor. Tony is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and carries a Series 65 investment license. He is also a member of the Tax and Personal Financial Planning sections of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Tony currently serves on the board of Carillion Tazewell Community Hospital and Cornerstone Christian Academy in Abingdon, Virginia. He has served in various local economic development initiatives. Tony, his wife Amy, along with their children Raegan, Drew and Callie, attend Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cedar Bluff, Virginia. He is also active in local youth sports with his three children.
