Betty is an Investment Advisor Representative of Alliance Wealth Strategies (AWS), a Registered Investment Advisory firm owned by Brown Edwards. Betty brings years of experience in taxation and planning for estates, trusts and high-wealth individuals. In addition, she is a Partner of tax services in the Bristol office of Brown Edwards. She has over twenty years of experience in public accounting, focusing on tax and consulting for business entities.
Betty is a 1996 graduate of Emory & Henry College. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting. She is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax and Personal Financial Planning sections. Her professional designations include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Personal Financial Specialist.
She is active in community activities which include sitting on the board of directors and serving as treasurer for the Auxiliary to Johnston Memorial Hospital. She is actively involved in the Alumni Association of Emory & Henry College. Her interests include: classic cars, crafting and traveling.
